This is an extraordinary 18th century Manor house. Steeped in history and with many beautiful artefacts, this property was originally built in 1731 by D. Diogo de Sousa, Vice-Roy of Portuguese India, was married in its chapel in 1771. If you're seeking charm, comfort and tranquility then this is the place for you!

The House
Surrounded by vineyards, cornfields and a private wood, it has been thoroughly renovated and well furnished and provides accommodation for a large group or extended family wishing to holiday together. The meticulous restoration has been a true labour of love for the owners, who have lived there for generations. Amongst the many features, there is an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen with a bright and attractive breakfast room. The adjacent formal dining room conveys an air of splendor, with its high ceilings and Indo-Portuguese tapestries. Throughout, original features are tastefully combined with modern conveniences to create a comfortable and immaculate interior. On the ground level the original stone wine cellar has been converted into three, comfortable drawing rooms, one of them a games room with a snooker table, a piano and card tables.
